Job summary

47G Utah Aerospace & Defense is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to serve as the electrical SME on the Lion Energy C&I BESS production floor, ensuring builds follow NEC codes and safety standards. The role bridges engineering and assembly and provides Tier 2 hardware troubleshooting support.

You will lead assembly technicians on electrical integration, validate systems with engineering, and help draft SOPs for electrical tasks while maintaining quality and safety on the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• Active Journeyman Electrician License required.
• Minimum of 4 years as licensed electrician in industrial manufacturing/power electronics.
• Ability to read complex electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and blueprints.
• Knowledge of DC systems, 3-phase AC, and NFPA 70E safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Act as floor-level electrical SME guiding assembly technicians during electrical integration of C&I BESS units.
• Ensure routing, terminations, and installations comply with NEC, schematics, and Lion Energy safety standards.
• Intervene to correct unsafe practices and escalate chronic issues to production management.
• Collaborate with Validation and Manufacturing Engineers to prepare systems for testing.
• Perform initial electrical safety checks, high‑voltage terminations, and power‑ups in the testing environment.
• Assist in isolating and diagnosing hardware faults identified during FAT.
