We Power America in La Porte, Indiana is hiring electricians for commercial and industrial projects. We are seeking journey level and supervisory level workers for high-profile assignments with great pay and comprehensive employer-paid benefits.

Openings include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of electrical systems, with emphasis on safety, codes compliance, and teamwork across contractors and engineers. Overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial and industrial electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using varied tools and techniques.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Read blueprints and plan installations or upgrades; upgrade existing systems.
• Follow safety protocols including lockout/tagout.
• Collaborate with other contractors and team members to complete projects on time.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Provide on-call emergency electrical repairs.
