Job Summary

Electricians are responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, installing, and modifying electrical components and systems.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Performing preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components.
• Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and making timely repairs.
• Following Electrical Code, state, and local building regulations.
• Completing required documentation of repairs and service information.
• Operating hand and power tools associated with electrical work safely.
• Applying knowledge of electrical theory, principles, materials, and equipment.
• Ensuring all work meets electrical codes, blueprints, and standards.
