Job summary

Walmart seeks a Mississippi Journeyman Electrician, Facility Services, to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs for safe, functional facilities. You will diagnose issues, coordinate maintenance, manage work orders, and support emergency responses to uphold safety and quality standards across Walmart locations.

The role requires diagnosing electrical issues using blueprints, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with contractors and management to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in the electrical trade.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician or equivalent in state of work.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• License in related trade in city and/or state of work

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and facility equipment following established schedules and safety guidelines.
• Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot electrical issues using blueprints, manuals, and specialized tools to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
• Document maintenance activities, repair needs, and capital expense information accurately to support operational decisions.
• Manage work orders, coordinate with contractors, and ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance are met.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations to support critical facility needs.
• Operate and maintain vehicles and powered equipment safely in accordance with company policies.
