What you'll do...Role summary:

The Mississippi Journeyman Electrician, Facility Services, is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the safety and functionality of facilities and equipment. This role requires diagnosing electrical issues, executing repairs, and coordinating maintenance activities while adhering to regulatory standards. The position involves managing work orders, maintaining documentation, and supporting emergency response efforts. The Journeyman Electrician collaborates with management and contractors to uphold quality and safety standards, contributing to the efficient operation and upkeep of Walmart facilities.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience in commercial electrical construction, maintenance, and light repair.
  • Ability to perform routine preventive maintenance and diagnose electrical issues using blueprints and repair manuals.
  • Skilled in operating hand and power tools, hoists, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to ensure compliance and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Strong documentation skills for maintenance activities, work orders, and repair records.
  • Capability to manage maintenance schedules, coordinate contractors, and handle parts procurement.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with managers, coworkers, and business partners.
  • Clean driving record

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications
