Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to maintain and troubleshoot the facility's electrical infrastructure, from motor controls to fire alarm systems, ensuring peak performance and safety.

You will diagnose issues, perform routine maintenance, plan tasks, coordinate parts, and guide junior technicians while adhering to NEC standards.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Journeyperson certification obtained through a formal program, military service, or union apprenticeship.
• Technical expertise in electrical systems up to 12kV.
• Ability to read blueprints and use standard power and hand tools.
• HVAC certification is a plus.
• Certification to operate scissor or boom lifts is preferred.
• Valid state driver's license is required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in tight spaces.
• Weekend overtime or shift changes may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix issues in electrical distribution, motor controls, fire alarms, and timekeeping systems.
• Perform general maintenance on lighting and fixtures and install new electrical systems.
• Estimate resources, timeframes, and costs for upcoming tasks.
• Coordinate parts procurement and ensure NEC compliance by contractors.
• Provide rapid response to urgent service requests and scheduled maintenance.
• Mentor and guide junior maintenance personnel.
