Job summary

DEPT OF EMERGENCY AND MILITARY AFFAIRS in Tucson, AZ seeks a Journeyman Electrician to install, repair, and upgrade electrical systems for the 162 Air Wing/CES. The role includes preventative maintenance, emergency service calls, and documenting work in accordance with safety codes.

The position requires reading blueprints, performing inspections, and coordinating with the Civil Engineer Production Control. Strong safety, teamwork, and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of installing, repairing, or upgrading electrical systems.
• Knowledge of remodeling, construction practices in electrical field.
• Knowledge of fire alarm panels, motor control centers, transformers.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical hardware to ensure power to facilities; service fire alarm panels and motors.
• Inspect electrical infrastructure and fire suppression systems; ensure code compliance.
• Record inspections, maintain parts stock, and respond to after-hours calls on a rotating shift.
• Read blueprints and schematics; ensure installations meet industry standards.
