Job Description

The Electrician performs a variety of electrical trade functions including installation, maintenance, repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, and utilization of electric energy at CMI’s customer site in Shepherdstown, WV.

$33.41/hr with full benefits

$38.34/hr with no benefits

Key Job Functions

• Installing, maintaining or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as portable generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, light fixtures, heating elements, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment;
• Working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Minimum 5 years experience in large building electrical maintenance and knowledge of National Electric Code is required
• Requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience
• Must possess troubleshooting skills for high, medium, and low voltage electrical systems typically found in large commercial structures
• Must have experience with generators, high voltage switch gear, lighting controls, and electrical control trouble shooting.
• Sound ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems, motors, controls, and miscellaneous electrical systems
• HVAC (Siemens) controls knowledge is a plus but not required
• Must possess a Journeyman electrical license
