Job summary

Noveon Magnetics is seeking a Journeyman Electrician in San Marcos, TX to support factory startup, electrical installs, and wiring. The role requires a journeyman license with at least 5 years of experience and strong communication across teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience with NEC NFPA 70, control wiring, blueprints, and both low and high voltage systems, plus maintenance and troubleshooting experience in an industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Has a journeyman license with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Experience in control wiring and specification.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and work from schematics.
• Experience with 24vDC and 120, 208, 277, and 480 vAC equipment.
• Experience running industrial equipment (forklift, boom lift, cranes, etc.).
• 2 years of maintenance and troubleshooting experience preferred (oil/gas or manufacturing).
• Knowledge of PLC I/O and analog signals.

Responsibilities

• Work safely following NEC NFPA 70, LOTO procedures, and local electrical codes.
• Install cable trays, EMT, conduits, electrical panels, disconnects, and MCCs.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install instrumentation; transmitters, valves, switches, breakers, relays, and VFDs.
• Use instruments such as ultrasonic, mass flow, pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, load cells.
• Pull wire and perform other tasks to complete projects on time.
• Maintain a clean work area and communicate effectively with team members.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Working in accordance with company policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a journeyman license with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Is experienced in control wiring and specification.
• Possesses the ability to read electrical blueprints and work from schematics.
• Has experience working with low and high voltage equipment: 24vDC and 120, 208, 277, and 480 vAC.
• Is experienced in running industrial equipment such as a forklift, boom lift, overhead crane, scissor lift, etc.
• Has 2 years’ of maintenance and troubleshooting experience. (Oil and gas or plant and manufacturing industry preferred).
• Has a knowledge of PLC I/O and analog.

Additionally:

• Professionalism, positive attitude, and the ability to work as a team.
• Willingness to adapt and make changes and come up with creative solutions.
• Ability to move up to 50lbs.
• Ability to bend, crouch, walk, and stand for long periods of time.
