Job summary

Noveon Magnetics is seeking a highly skilled journeyman electrician to support factory startup, electrical installs and wiring. You will collaborate with multiple teams on the plant floor, ensuring quality workmanship and safety compliance.

A strong track record in electrical systems and a proactive attitude are essential. The role requires reading blueprints, wiring control circuits, and working with high and low voltage equipment.

Qualifications

• Journeyman license with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Experience in control wiring and specification.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and work from schematics.
• Experience with 24vDC and 120/208/277/480 VAC equipment.
• Experience running industrial equipment (forklift, boom lift, crane, etc.).
• 2 years’ maintenance and troubleshooting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing work in accordance with NEC NFPA 70 and local electrical codes.
• Installing cable trays, EMT, conduits, panels, disconnects, and MCCs.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, and installing instrumentation and controls.
• Using instruments like ultrasonic, mass flow, pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, load cells.
• Pulling wire and completing projects on time.
• Maintaining a clean work area and collaborating with teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Working in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Safely performing work in accordance with NEC NFPA 70, plant LOTO procedures, and local electrical codes.
• Installing cable trays, EMT, ridged conduits, electrical panels, disconnects, and MCCs.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, and installing instrumentation; transmitters, control valves, switches, breakers, starters, relays, and VFD.
• Utilizing a variety of instruments including ultrasonic, mass flow, pressure transducers thermocouples, RTDs, load cells, etc.
• Pulling wire and other various tasks needed to complete projects on time.
• Maintaining a clean work area.
• Communicating effectively and respectfully with all team members and contractors.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a journeyman license with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• Is experienced in control wiring and specification.
• Possesses the ability to read electrical blueprints and work from schematics.
• Has experience working with low and high voltage equipment: 24vDC and 120, 208, 277, and 480 vAC.
• Is experienced in running industrial equipment such as a forklift, boom lift, overhead crane, scissor lift, etc.
• Has 2 years’ of maintenance and troubleshooting experience. (Oil and gas or plant and manufacturing industry preferred).
• Has a knowledge of PLC I/O and analog.

Additionally:

• Professionalism, positive attitude, and the ability to work as a team.
• Willingness to adapt and make changes and come up with creative solutions.
• Ability to move up to 50lbs.
• Ability to bend, crouch, walk, and stand for long periods of time.
