We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly-skilled Service Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team of trade professionals. In this role, you will demonstrate your expert knowledge of electrical systems and your outstanding problem-solving skills as you perform all necessary installations, maintenance, and repairs. To succeed in this position, you will be reliable, hardworking, and a team player with a desire to continually learn and improve your skillset.

Journeyman Electrician Duties and Responsibilities

• Arrive at service calls on time
• Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Provide estimates for cost and timeline prior to beginning work
• Acquire client signatures on service agreements before starting work
• Perform all work to the best of your ability, as if it were your own home or business
• Notify the client immediately if plans need to be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances
• Perform routine maintenance on various systems as requested
• Follow specifications on blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings for installations
• Conduct all repairs and installations according to code
• Utilize all safety equipment and follow safety regulations and guidelines
• Maintain a neat and organized work environment
• Keep a stock of common materials in your service vehicle
• Ensure all tools and equipment are functioning properly at the start of each shift
• Obtain payment and confirm customer satisfaction before departing
• Report any issues to management

Journeyman Electrician Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be a state-licensed journeyman electrician
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Solid working knowledge of commercial and residential electrical systems
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a journeyman electrician
• Experience in both commercial and residential work is a plus
• Able to read blueprints, technical drawings, and diagrams and follow specifications
• Able to work independently
• Take pride in your work
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
• Good customer service skills
• Good communication skills, with the ability to keep accurate records
