Job responsibilities for commercial and industrial electricians include:

• Installation and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, panels, circuits, motors, and equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairs of electrical issues using various tools.
• Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety standards.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Upgrading and modifying existing electrical systems to enhance performance or meet new requirements.
• Adhering to strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Collaborating with other contractors, engineers, and team members.
• Conducting preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Providing emergency electrical support when needed.

Salary ranges from $35 to $53 per hour.
