Amentum seeks a Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Springfield, VA. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment for generation and distribution, reading blueprints and using standard tools to diagnose issues.

The position requires a High School diploma, a valid Electrical Journeyman's license, and the ability to lift up to 45 lbs. A TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance is required for this federal contractor role.

Purpose and Impact:

Amentum is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team of passionate individuals in Springfield, VA.

Essential Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Experience and Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
• Electrical Journeyman's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred.
