Job summary

SMSI invites applications for an Industrial-Commercial Service Electrical Journeyman in the Springdale area. You will join an established team of electricians to complete customer-driven projects with competitive pay.

Responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, assembling raceway and cable tray, and installing VFDs and panelboards. Must read schematics and be able to travel for weekly site work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical service or a related field.
• Comfortable reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Proficient with manual and electric tools used in electrical tasks.
• Able to handle the physical workload.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and repair motor and control systems used in industrial/commercial settings.
• Assemble raceway and cable tray systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on wiring and systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Demonstrate problem-solving and critical-thinking to resolve issues.
• Install, program, and mount VFDs, soft starts, transformers, motors, and panelboards.
• Run wires and conduit of varying sizes.
• Connect motors and transformers.
• Use threading tools, pipe benders, and related equipment as needed.
• This position is safety sensitive.
