Job summary

Springfield Mechanical Services Inc. seeks Journeyman Electricians to join our team in the Ozarks and Branson area. This role is mostly local with occasional travel to the Springfield office.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial settings, and install equipment such as VFDs, transformers, panelboards, and motors. The position requires 3–5 years of experience, a Journeyman license (or ability to obtain one), and willingness to work after hours

Qualifications

• Active Journeyman license or ability to obtain one.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Must be able to respond to customer needs after hours or on weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, components, and related equipment according to safety codes.

We are looking for a few Journeyman Electricians to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, components, and related equipment according to safety codes.
  
• Analyze and repair motor and control systems commonly utilized in industrial and commercial settings.
  
• Execute preventive maintenance activities on electrical wiring and systems.
  
• Comprehend electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  
• Install, program, and mount VFDs, soft starts, transformers, and motors, and panelboards.
  
• Stretch and run wire, conduit, and other materials of varying sizes.
  
• Utilize threaders, big pipe benders, and tuggers as necessary.
  
• This position is safety sensitive.
  

Requirements

• Must have at least 3 - 5 years as a Journeyman Electrician or similar field. Must have an active Journeyman license or the ability to obtain one.
  
• OSHA 10 certification is highly preferred.
  
• Comfortable reading and comprehending electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
  
• Must be able to respond to customer needs after hours or on weekends as needed.
  
• Must be able to work in the Ozarks area, closer to Branson, but able to travel to the Springfield office when needed.
  
• Class E driver's license preferred for use of company vehicles.
