Job summary

Airco Mechanical is seeking a Commercial Journeyman Electrician to install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems. You will read blueprints, plan conduit layouts, install panels, and coordinate with other trades to keep projects on schedule.

The ideal candidate has a Texas Journeyman license, 3+ years of experience, and is skilled in interpretation of project documents and safety compliance. Competitive pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid State of Texas Journeyman Electrical License.
• Pass a background check and a drug screening.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• 1+ years as a Journeyman / Leadman.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems per NEC and project specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and documents.
• Plan conduit layouts, wire pulls, and device installations.
• Install/terminate panels, switchgear, transformers, and electrical equipment.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and inspections for proper operation.
• Lead and mentor apprentices and enforce safety practices.
• Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, and other trades on site.
• Maintain tools and a clean, organized work area.

Job Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems in accordance with NEC, local codes, and project specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and project documents
• Plan and execute conduit layouts, wire pulls, and device installations
• Install and terminate panels, switchgear, transformers, and electrical equipment
• Perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and inspections to ensure proper operation
• Lead and mentor apprentices, providing guidance on proper methods and safety practices
• Ensure work is completed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule
• Coordinate with foremen, supervisors, and other trades on job sites
• Enforce job site safety standards and OSHA regulations
• Identify material needs and communicate shortages or issues to supervision
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area

Qualifications

• Valid State of Texas Journeyman Electrical License
• Able to pass a background check and a drug screening
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• 1+ years as a Journeyman / Leadman

Pay Range

The anticipated pay range for this position is between $35-$42 an hour. Pay ranges may vary by relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
