Job summary

Everus Construction Group, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to plan, lay out, install and repair electrical panels, transformers, and wiring on SE&M projects. This role reports to Foreman or Superintendent, requiring reading drawings, wiring color identification, and adherence to NEC standards.

Minimum qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and a valid NC JW license. You must lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid NC JW License.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Identify wire colors and sizes accurately.
• Knowledge of NEC (NED) and standard trade procedures.
• Ability to work safely using required PPE.
• Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and climbing ladders.

Responsibilities

• Installation of electrical panels, transformers, disconnects, switch boards, and other electrical equipment.
• Pulling wire and terminating.
• Conduit bending, cutting, threading and installation.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
• Install light fixtures and devices.

JOB SUMMARY

The Journeyman Electrician's primary duties are to plan, layout, install and/or repair cable, conduit and equipment. This position will report to Foreman or Superintendent or other designated field leaders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid NC JW License

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and instructions
• Must be able to positively identify wire colors and sizes
• Must have a working knowledge of NED and common trade procedures and standards
• Must be able to perform work safely with required PPE
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Must be able to climb and work off ladders and other elevated surfaces such as lifts
• Must possess the minimum required tools for SE&M
• Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsite
