As one of the nation's largest providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions, we are expanding our team and seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our FSG Electric South Florida team.

The Journeyman Electrician will plan layouts, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment for commercial lighting. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial lighting and electrical maintenance, demonstrating excellent customer service and commitment to safety.

1. Prepare sketches or follow diagrams/blueprints to install wiring and equipment, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before finishing walls, ceilings, and floors.
2. Plan installations to minimize waste, facilitate future maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance with codes.
3. Design and install electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to specifications and local codes.
4. Install control and distribution devices such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, Buss, Busbar, and switchgear.
5. Repair faulty electrical systems or equipment.
6. Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install or repair electrical systems.
7. Advise management on potential hazards related to equipment operation.
8. Maintain attendance standards and adhere to notification procedures for absences or lateness.
9. Maintain current electrician's license or ID as required by regulations.
10. Work a flexible schedule, including overtime, evenings, and weekends.

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Valid driver’s license.
3. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
4. Ability to pass drug screening and background checks.
5. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Positive customer service skills.
8. Experience as a Foreman is a plus.
