Role Description

The Journeyman Electrician (full‑time) will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings, following all applicable codes and safety standards. Daily responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics, running conduit and wiring, installing panels, fixtures, and equipment, and performing routine inspections. The role involves diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting system failures, and coordinating with project managers, apprentices, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical work, including safe work practices and relevant codes.
  • Proficiency in maintenance & repair of electrical systems, with hands‑on experience in commercial, industrial, or residential environments.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective solutions under time and safety constraints.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical engineering concepts as they apply to system design, load calculations, and equipment selection.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification in Ohio (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation accurately.
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and adherence to union and industry standards.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with contractors, supervisors, and apprentices.
