Manage day to day operations of electrical areas and coordinates activities of electricians. Responsible for electrical maintenance program. Directs and performs all duties involving electrical maintenance.## **Detailed Description:*** ## Follows all department and plant SOP’s and procedures.* ## Controls and evaluates electrical maintenance program.* ## Identifies electrical problems, finds solutions in a timely manner.* ## Oversee all estimates of electrical repair costs.* ## Works on blueprints, wiring diagrams, shop handbooks, layouts and other specifications to determine materials and working procedures needed in the maintenance of machinery, equipment and structures.* ## Repairs and installs electrical equipment and component parts.* ## Installs electrical work according to state, federal and company requirements/laws.* ## Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.* ## Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures for building electrical maintenance schedules.* ## Conducts plan layouts of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.* ## Conducts building safety inspections ensuring that protection and safety systems are in operational order and comply with safety codes.* ## Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.* ## Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical principles, properties of various materials, principles of operation and application.* ## Interacts with internal and outside contacts to provide guidance on building safety## **Requirements:** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Know NEC and building codes.
