Job summary

LIVINGSTON PARISH SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for its Central Office. Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and extensive knowledge of single phase, three phase, and 277-volt systems. This role requires formal training, five years of experience in electrical work, and a valid LA driver’s license with a clean driving record. POSITION: Journeyman Electrician

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Must have extensive knowledge in single phase, three phase, and 277-volt systems.
• Formal training is required plus five (5) years’ experience in residential, commercial and industrial electrical work.
• Must also have “hot work” experience.
• Requirements include using a man lift, ladders, and other electrical equipment required to perform electrical tasks.
• Licensed electrician and experience with educational facilities preferred but not required.
• Must have a valid LA driver’s license and clean driving record, willingness to work call outs, weekends, and holidays.
