Approximately two hours away from Clearwater Paper’s headquarters in Spokane, Washington, the Lewiston paper mill is a key component in Clearwater Paper’s business strategy.

What you will do
The Journeyman Electrician will assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctioning systems, inspecting electrical systems, and ensuring compliance with codes. You will connect wires to circuit breakers, test electrical systems and continuity of circuits, and ensure compatibility and safety of the system.

What you will need
To be successful in this position, we are looking for candidates with the following:

• Successfully completed an approved electrical apprenticeship program
• Hold a current state journeyman electrician’s license or be able to obtain an Idaho Journeyman Electrician license within six months of employment
• Minimum of 3-5 years journeyman experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, pulp and paper experience preferred
• Knowledge and experience in reading electrical schematics, ladder logic, and P&ID’s
• Experience in evaluating and troubleshooting systems such as PLC’s, AC/DC drives and motors, control systems, high voltage switchgear, and transformers
• Experience with motor management and controls, speed controls, and other systems
• Able to learn and utilize secondary maintenance skills in instrumentation and refrigeration
• Able to complete all documentation using a computerized maintenance tracking system
• Work in a true teamwork environment with minimal supervision, being self-motivated and accountable
• Willing to work shift work, primarily day shift, Monday-Friday on a 4 day-10-hour schedule

Candidates for the Journeyman Electrician position must be responsible, safety-conscious individuals. Pay rate is $54.27 an hour, with a 3% annual wage increase.
