What You’ll Do:
  1. Promote Safety: Prioritize safety throughout operations for yourself and others, following MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  2. Repair and Maintain Electronic Equipment: Service, repair, calibrate, regulate, fine-tune, and test machines, devices, electrical systems, conductors, and related equipment at various facilities.
  3. Troubleshoot and Diagnose Equipment: Detect and resolve electrical wiring, appliance, fixture, and machinery issues, improving equipment reliability.
  4. Inspect Equipment, Structures, and Material: Conduct scheduled checks to identify malfunctions and unsafe conditions.
  5. Interpret Blueprints, Schematics, and Documentation: Use technical documents to determine safe and effective installation procedures.
  6. Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.
Skills You’ll Need:
  • Experience: Prior experience in construction or industrial electrical work preferred.
  • Knowledge of Best Practices: Strong understanding of electrical codes and theory; motor control knowledge is a plus (NEC, NESC, MSHA).
  • Flexibility: Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, tolerate loud noises, and work overtime as needed.
  • Mechanical Skills: Basic knowledge of electrical tools, their uses, and maintenance.
