About the Company

MKD Electric has over twenty years of experience designing, building, installing, and maintaining systems for a variety of clients in sectors such as renewables, data centers, oil and gas, manufacturing, chemical, and pharmaceutical. In January 2025, we partnered with Georgia-based Brittain Electric, a professional electrical contractor with nearly 20 years of experience in commercial and government electrical systems.

Job Overview

The Brittain Electric team is seeking a Journeyman Electrician passionate about the field and ready to contribute to our projects.

Responsibilities
  1. Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as PLC and DCS systems, VFDs, motor controls, lighting, and distribution systems.
  2. Conduct tests to diagnose malfunctions and analyze electrical system operations.
  3. Use electrical testing equipment including infrared, ultrasonic, data loggers, voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
  4. Install and bend conduits (EMT, Rigid, Aluminum).
  5. Pull and terminate wires and cables for power, control, and instrumentation systems.
  6. Operate and maintain power equipment, including forklifts, man-lifts, and hydraulic tools.
  7. Provide excellent customer service to clients and team members.
  8. Work safely at heights using platforms, scaffolds, ladders, or lifts.
  9. Lift and move heavy objects regularly.
  10. Prioritize safety at all times.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical system installation and maintenance.
  2. Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code) and OSHA safety standards.
  3. Experience working directly with clients with professionalism.
  4. Strong communication skills.
  5. Organized, able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Ability to pass a federal background check for government facilities.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
  • Transport up to 60 pounds over distances.
  • Stand for extended periods, with frequent stretching, reaching, and movement, in various environmental conditions.
