Qualifications

  • Journeyman card required with 5 years of active work experience.
  • Master's License preferred.
  • Experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting is essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment, following the electrical code and blueprints, using hand tools and a voltage tester.

  • Connects power supply wire to machines and equipment.

  • Connects cables and wires between machines and equipment, following manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints using hand tools and test equipment.

  • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus, such as computers, transformers, motors and lighting fixtures, using test equipment and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables using hand tools.

  • Tests malfunction machinery using test equipment and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers to diagnose the malfunction.

  • Replaces faulty electrical components of machines, such as relays, switches and motors and positions sensing devices using hand tools.

  • Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards using electronic test equipment and hand tools.

  • Replace electric motor bearings and rewires motors.

  • Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in buildings.

  • Diagnoses and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.

  • Trained in Arc Flash and all safety requirements

  • Does preventive maintenance and complete forms.

  • Works with engineering on new builds and upgrades

  • PLC knowledge for diagnostics of equipment needed

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

State Issued Journeyman card plus 5 years’ active work in manufacturing field.

Master’s License a plus

PLC programing and troubleshoot 2 + years
