Job description

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and machinery, including power (less than 600V) and lighting systems.
• Perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
• Install and maintain conduit, control panels, machine tools, generators, transformers, motors, battery chargers, fire‑watch cables, and other control panels.
• Test and repair lighting and power circuits, cranes and hoists, limit and proximity switches, outside lighting, gate barriers, and related LAN cables.
• Maintain production equipment such as welders, heating units, electromagnetic devices, lathes, mills, grinders, CNC machining centers, gantries, and battery chargers.
• Fabricate brackets, supports, and hangers for electrical installation.
• Provide electrical servicing, troubleshooting, and repair for test stands, furnaces, and engine carriers.
• Assist with recovery, movement, and adjustment associated with gantry failures and cat tracks.
• Install and maintain cameras and HMI screens on production equipment.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Certified Journeyperson card holder or ability to document 8 years of experience.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. as of application.
• Must successfully complete a pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to work effectively with production teams, engineering, service technicians, and management staff.

Location & Employment

Detroit, MI, U.S. Position is onsite with no relocation assistance.
