Job description

Location & Schedule

Detroit Manufacturing Plant. Onsite. Ability to work any shift assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Engineering with prototype part measurements for new projects.
  • Physical dimensional measurement gauging repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance (mechanical and electronic).
  • Torque measurements repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance (mechanical and electronic).
  • Pressure, flow and vacuum measurement gauging repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance (mechanical and electronic).
  • Tachometric measurement gauging repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance (mechanical and electronic).
  • Electro‑mechanical gauging fixtures utilizing air/electric and LVDT transducers, repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance.
  • Electronic LED columns with data and serial output, repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance.
  • Automated CPU gauging systems, repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance.
  • Electro‑mechanical force gauging systems, repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance.
  • Shop and engineering test standards (mechanical, electric and electronic), repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance.
  • Electro‑mechanical surface finish gauging, repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance.
  • Various specialized in‑plant electro‑mechanical production gauging systems unique to DDC, repair, calibration, adjustment and surveillance.
  • Leak testers (internal to cabinet).
Qualifications
  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Certified Journeyperson card holder or ability to document 8 years of experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Strong computer/software skills including Microsoft Office and Prism.
  • Willingness to be cross‑functionally trained.
  • Ability to work any shift assigned.
  • Ability to work effectively with production teams, engineering, service technicians and management staff.
