Job description

Join to apply for the Journeyman Electrician role at Facility Solutions Group.

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will plan layouts, install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. The ideal candidate will mentor and develop Apprentice Electricians and promote FSG's core values through excellent customer service and safety assurance.

1. Prepare sketches or follow diagrams/blueprints for wiring and equipment installation, ensuring concealed wiring is installed before walls, ceilings, and flooring are completed.
2. Plan installations to minimize material waste, facilitate future maintenance, and ensure safety and reliability, adhering to specifications and codes.
3. Design layouts and install electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
4. Install control and distribution devices such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, Buss, Busbar, electrical feeders, power systems, and switchgear.
5. Repair faulty equipment or systems.
6. Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical systems.
7. Advise management on potential hazards of equipment operation.
8. Meet attendance standards and follow notification procedures for lateness or absence.
9. Maintain current electrician's license or ID card as per regulations.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 3-5 years of experience, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. A current Electrician’s License is preferred but not required. Experience in lighting is a plus.

Compensation ranges from USD $28.00 to USD $35.00 per hour.
