Position: Journeyman Electrician - Commercial & Oil & Gas
A local company is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Journeyman Electrician to support commercial construction and oil & gas field projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Current Colorado Journeyman Electrician License preferred
- Previous experience in commercial, industrial, or oil & gas electrical work
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable safety regulations
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Experience installing conduit, pulling wire, terminating panels, and electrical troubleshooting
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Duties:
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications
- Run conduit, pull wire, install panels, and complete electrical terminations
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move materials as needed
- Perform work in commercial facilities and oil & gas field environments
- Ensure compliance with NEC requirements and company safety policies
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
- Follow all industry standards, regulations, and safety procedures
Physical Demands and Skill Requirements:
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs. or more)
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and work in confined spaces as needed
- Must be willing to travel up to one week at a time
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Visual acuity to drive vehicles and mobile equipment and read printed and electronic documents
- Visual color discrimination
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding work throughout the day
Wage:
$25 - $40 per hour
Days and Hours:
Hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours may vary, and weekend availability may be required.
Full-Time | Possible Overtime
