A-Var Electric is seeking a motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our growing Southern Colorado team. You will handle residential, commercial, industrial and government projects, working independently or with others to deliver high-quality electrical installations and repairs.

A-Var Electric is seeking a motivated and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. Since 1984, we’ve built our reputation on quality workmanship, safety, and exceptional customer service throughout Southern Colorado.

As a Journeyman Electrician, you’ll work on a variety of residential, commercial, industrial, and government projects. We are looking for someone who is reliable, takes pride in their work, works well independently and as part of a team, and is committed to delivering high-quality electrical installations and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Perform service calls, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Install electrical panels, lighting, wiring, outlets, and equipment.
• Ensure all work meets NEC, state, and local electrical codes.
• Diagnose electrical issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Maintain a safe and organized job site.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado Journeyman Electrician License.
• Experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems efficiently.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
