Job summary

E&K Building Excellence is seeking several new team members for long-term drywall projects in Omaha, Lincoln, and Columbus, NE. The company offers up to $38/hour for journeymen, plus benefits, and expects adherence to safety policies and OSHA standards.

Responsibilities include layout, surface preparation, joint compound application, finishing, and scaffolding tasks across multiple sites. Candidates should be capable of heavy lifting and working at height on a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and plans for drywall installation.
• Basic mathematics for measuring and material calculations.
• Willingness to follow safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Ability to work in a team environment on long-term projects.
• Physical strength for lifting heavy materials and working on ladders/scaffolds.

Responsibilities

• Layout and install drywall beads as specified.
• Prepare drywall surfaces for finishing products.
• Mix, carry and apply joint compound for finishes.
• Tape, coat, finish and sand joint compound for decoration.
• Texture walls or ceilings per plans and specifications.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolds as required.
• Ensure safety rules and OSHA standards are followed.
• Calculate unit costs based on material, hours, and labor.
• Report to work on time at various locations.
• Attend required company training programs.
