Qualifications

Interstate Power Systems is looking for First and Second Shift Journeyman Diesel Truck Mechanic/Technician(s) for our Butler, Wisconsin location.

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Journeyman Diesel Mechanics/Technicians specialized in Freightliner, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT, MTU, and more. We offer highly competitive wages.

Role Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and components in trucks, buses, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Work independently from start to finish, mentoring others and providing guidance on internal systems.
  • Identify improvements proactively and respond promptly to service needs.
Qualifications
  • More than 5 years of experience as a heavy-duty truck mechanic.
  • Valid Driver's license; CDL preferred for additional benefits.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with Detroit Diesel engines (GHG17), Cummins, CAT, International, and hydraulics, brakes, suspension, transmissions, and drive train is a plus.
  • Physical ability to lift and work without restrictions.
Skills & Qualities
  • Positive attitude, goal-oriented, and reliable.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to pursue ongoing certification and training.
