Digital Tool & Die Inc. in Michigan is seeking a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker to build and tune stamping dies, assemble dies on the bench, and ensure quality and on-time delivery of tool builds.

You will operate presses, forklifts, overhead cranes, grinders, and other tools, collaborate with engineering and quality teams, and mentor apprentices on die construction and function.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Tool and Die Maker certification or equivalent.
• Experience setting up and operating machine tools (surface grinders, drill presses, and milling machines).
• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and thoroughly.
• Proven dependable work ethic and collaborative team member.

Responsabilités

• Try-out and tune in sheet metal stamping dies.
• Help in the assembly of dies on the bench.
• Safely operate presses, press feeders, forklifts, overhead cranes, surface grinders and other machine tools.
• Responsible for quality and on-time delivery of new tool build projects.

Journeyman Tool and Die Maker

Job Responsibilities

• Try-out and tune in sheet metal stamping dies
• Help in the assembly of dies on the bench
• Safely operate presses, press feeder equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes, surface grinders and other machine tools.
• Responsible for quality and on time delivery of new tool build projects.
• Effectively communicate with engineering and quality team members when trouble shooting.
• Help train and mentor apprentices on how dies are built and supposed to function.

• Journeyman Tool and Die Maker
• set up and operate mahcine tools (surface grinders, drill presses, and milling machines).
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
• Understand and use a wide range of precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effciently and thoroughly
• Dependable, strong work ethic, collaborative team member
• Good housekeeping skills

Schedule

• 2nd Shift: Mon-Thur 4:15pm - 3:45am, Fri 4:15pm - 9:15pm
