Job summary

Digital Tool & Die in Grandville, MI seeks a skilled tool and die operator to try-out and tune stamping dies, assemble dies on the bench, and safely operate presses and related equipment. The role ensures quality and on-time delivery, collaborates with engineering and quality teams, and mentors apprentices.

Responsibilities include setting up and operating surface grinders, drill presses, milling machines, forklifts and overhead cranes, using precision measuring tools, and managing multiple

• Try-out and tune in sheet metal stamping dies
• Help in the assembly of dies on the bench
• Safely operate presses, press feeder equipment, forklifts, overhead cranes, surface grinders and other machine tools.
• Responsible for quality and on time delivery of new tool build projects.
• Effectively communicate with engineering and quality team members when trouble shooting.
• Help train and mentor apprentices on how dies are built and supposed to function.

Qualifications

• set up and operate mahcine tools (surface grinders, drill presses, and milling machines).
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
• Understand and use a wide range of precision measuring instruments.

Additional Information

• 2nd Shift: Mon-Thur4:15pm - 3:45am, Fri4:15pm - 9:15pm
