Job summary
Xtreme Services in Goodrich, MI is seeking a Journeyman Concrete & Foundations Craftworker to join our industrial and commercial construction team, contributing in shop and field settings with a focus on safe, accurate work and adherence to plans. You will interpret plans, perform layout, formwork, placing concrete, reinforcing steel, and tool operation.
Travel to project sites is required. We offer competitive compensation and benefits including health insurance and PTO.
Qualifications
- One+ years of concrete/foundation experience preferred, or equivalent demonstrated proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Interpret plans, elevations, benchmarks and pour details; verify dimensions before work proceeds.
- Perform layout, subgrade prep, compaction, and placement of stone or vapor barrier as assigned.
- Build, brace, strip, clean and reuse forms for footings, walls, piers, pads, slabs and embeds.
- Cut, bend, place, tie and support reinforcing steel, wire mesh, dowels, anchor bolts, sleeves and embeds.
- Place, consolidate, screed, float, edge, finish, texture, cure, saw-cut, patch and protect concrete.
- Operate hand and power tools, compactors, saws, vibrators, lasers and other equipment within authorization.
