Job summary

Taylor'd Trades, Inc. in Lexington, KY is seeking a Journeyman Carpenter for full-time, local work on commercial construction sites. You will read blueprints, lay out projects, cut and install materials, and build walls, framing, doors and windows according to plans.

Experience with concrete forms (Symons/Doka/Peri/EFCO or similar) is preferred. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs, work overtime, and follow OSHA safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
• Read tape measures and basic construction drawings.
• Experience with concrete form systems (wood, Symons, Doka, Peri, EFCO, or similar).
• Knowledge of concrete placement and finishing techniques.
• Ability to safely operate construction tools and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Reliable transportation to various job sites.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when project schedules require.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and construction plans.
• Perform accurate layout, measuring, cutting, fitting, and installation of materials.
• Construct, install, and repair walls, partitions, framing, doors, windows, and other building components.
• Build and install concrete forms and formwork as required.
• Perform wood and metal framing.
• Install blocking, backing, plywood, sheathing, trim, and related materials.
• Use hand tools, power tools, saws, levels, lasers, and other carpentry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Verify work for proper alignment, level, plumb, and dimensions.
• Coordinate with supervisors, foremen, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
• Identify and correct workmanship or installation issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company, jobsite, and OSHA safety requirements.
• Assist with additional construction duties as needed.
