TekSynap seeks a Journeyman Computer User Support Specialist to join our team supporting the United States Air Force, 53rd Wing at Eglin, AFB, FL. The role provides day-to-day support for Collateral, SCI and SAP activities and requires TS/SCI clearance and IAM I certification.

Qualifications

- 3–5 years of IT experience.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
- Prior experience as System/Network Administrator or IT/Assurance Specialist.
- Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
- Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Provide end users with technical support and resolve problems.
- Install and support commercial software and upgrades.
- Update solutions database with resolutions.
- Hardware/software installation and configuration per computing standards.
- Enforce IT policies and procedures.
- Assist with setting up new users in IDAM and LDAP profiles.

Job description
This position will support activities within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) and Military Compartments efforts. The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
Software installation and support of commercial software and related upgrades
Update solutions database with applicable resolutions
Problem solving, hardware/software installation and configuration based on computing standards, and client support for all network and desktop
Monitors and enforces all IT policies and procedures
Assist with setting up new users in IDAM and multiple level security LDAP profiles
Installs and configures computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware
Maintains, upgrades and repairs PCs/laptops and Window desktop applications for all systems.
Active TS/SCI clearance
Active IAM I certification
Minimum of three to five (3 - 5) years of experience in information technology or a related field
BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience preferred
Prior performance in roles such as System, Network Administrator or Information Technology/Assurance Specialists
Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information
Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph

Target salary range: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
