Responsibilities

• Support Change Control Boards (CCBs) to evaluate and approve new software solutions.
• Download, apply, and manage software patches and updates.
• Develop desk guides and documentation for new processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve technical support tickets and system issues.
• Assemble and configure computer systems for customer use.
• Configure user accounts and install required software and hardware.
• Coordinate with vendors to support hardware and software installations.
• Manage equipment inventories and track IT assets.
• Deploy and verify functionality of PIT systems.
• Support day-to-day remote technical aspects of product operational data to identify diagnostic issues.

We are currently seeking a Journeyman Computer User Support Specialistto support our client located in Bremerton, Washington. This role provides hands-on IT support, software management, and systems troubleshooting while working closely with customers, technical teams, and leadership to ensure reliable system operations and mission success.

The estimated salary range for this role is $68,000–$72,000 per year. Final compensation is dependent upon the candidate's skills, qualifications, contract-specific guidelines, and geographic location. TQI is committed to pay equity and compliance with Washington State pay transparency requirements. We do not request or consider prior salary history when making employment offers.

• Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of more junior employees.
• Operate within Windows operating system environments.
• Collaborate with customers to develop and implement effective technical solutions.
• Maintain clear communication with Branch Managers, Team Leads, and customers to set expectations and resolve issues.
• Provide support across branch activities as required.
• Experience with industrial machine software.
• Experience with ServiceNow ticketing system.

This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.

Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• 2 years of customer support experience.
• 2 years of general IT experience.
• Familiarity with Windows 10 operating systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot software, hardware, and network-related issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Security Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required due to federal contract requirements.
• The incumbent will be subject to a background investigation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
