Job summary

Austin Industrial is seeking a Journeyman Combo Welder to join metal parts per layout, blueprints and welding procedures. You will perform Stick, TIG and FCAW welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, with weld testing and x-ray qualifications where required.

This is a full-time, on-site role with a 40-hour 4/10 schedule. Applicants must have 3–5 years of journeyman experience, pass pre-employment checks, and provide fire-retardant clothing.

Qualifications

• Education – no minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Must provide your own fire-retardant clothing (FRC).

Responsibilities

• Join metal parts such as pipe or plates as specified by layout, blueprints, work orders or welding procedures.
• Stick and TIG weld carbon steel and stainless-steel materials; weld tested.
• Weld structure and pipe FCAW and TIG (carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum).
• Operate welding equipment safely and maintain PPE; perform x-ray welds with GTAW/SMAW.
• Read specs; verify pieces meet specifications and dimensions.
• Work in industrial environments with safety regulations and hazards.
