Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a skilled pipe welder for demanding industrial work in a power plant setting. You will plan lay-outs, coordinate with field crews, and perform precise welds that meet strict codes and standards.

Responsibilities include aligning piping, inspecting work for conformance, and assisting with pre-fabrication layout and rigging. Candidates should have related experience and be able to work variable hours in a construction environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a RMD Chrome Pipe Welder in a Power Plant / Industrial setting.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely.
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan, diagram and lay-out for pipe welder's work.
• Coordinate with field labor crew for efficient installations.
• Position the weld set up, fit piping and perform high-precision welds.
• Lay-out and assemble pipes according to standards and specs.
• Make welding repairs and correct substandard welds.
• Assist with pre-fabrication layout, installation and rigging.
• Operate welding-related equipment and estimate materials and time.
