Job summary

Daikin Applied Ltd. is seeking an HVAC Journeyman Technician in Las Vegas, NV for full-time onsite work. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment, including chillers, rooftop units, boilers, and water-source systems.

Responsibilities include advanced diagnostics, warranty service, and mentoring apprentices. A union Journeyman status and a valid driver’s license are required; OSHA training is offered during onboarding.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Accepted as Journeyman by the union
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• OSHA/industry safety awareness

Responsibilities

• Perform service of equipment including inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality including chillers, rooftop units, boilers and related components
• Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns or callbacks
• Perform independent diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing of commercial HVAC equipment
• Conduct warranty service by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality
• Educate customers on proper use, maintenance schedules, and manuals
• Lead apprentices through hands-on demonstrations and guidance
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and reports in a timely manner
• Download programs into equipment and analyzers; review chiller trend data for optimal performance
• Participate in regional training and ongoing learning modules
• Maintain certifications and develop new skills
