Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time HVAC Journeyman in Boston, MA to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment including rooftops, chillers, boilers, and water source systems.

You will inspect, test, and document performance, lead apprentice technicians, and provide customer education on proper use and maintenance. A valid license, 5+ years of experience, and OSHA-compliant safety practices are required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman status or equivalent
• 5+ years with increasing responsibility in HVAC service
• High school diploma or GED, HVAC certificate preferred
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain commercial HVAC equipment including rooftops, chillers, boilers
• Perform preventative maintenance and testing to verify system functionality
• Lead apprentices through hands-on tasks and safety practices
• Document service activity, parts used and time accurately
• Educate customers on operation, maintenance schedules and manuals
• Download programs to HVAC equipment and analyze trend data for performance

In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. The HVAC equipment you will be servicing includes but is not limited to large and small rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and boilers.
