Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Journeyman Carpenter to plan, lay out, and install forms, rebar, embeds, and anchor bolts for concrete structures in accordance with plans and codes. You will read blueprints, ensure quality finishes, and uphold safety standards on site.

Requirements include at least three years of carpentry experience, NCCER certifications, and ability to work with a team under demanding conditions. This role is on-site in Texas and offers competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience as carpenter or related craft.
• Strong working knowledge of erecting concrete structures, formwork and rebar.
• Must have tools and ability to read plans and specifications.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to complete pre- employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay out and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts per plans.
• Finish concrete surfaces to specification and industry standards.
• Maintain safety and participate in pre-job planning and safety discussions.
• Coordinate with team and other crafts to ensure alignment with plans.
• Read blueprints/plans to prepare project layouts.
