Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies invites applications for a Carpenter Helper role on a non-union craft project. You will assist journeymen in planning, laying out and installing concrete-related forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts in compliance with plans, specs and codes.

Emphasis on safety and teamwork to ensure quality construction. Ideal candidates have NCCER training and prior experience as a carpenter helper; you will operate hand and power tools, read plans, and contribute to forming,

Qualifications

• NCCER Construction Craft Laborer training or equivalent.
• Experience in carpenter craft as a helper or laborer.
• Must be able to read and follow plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts.
• Construct built-in-place or prefabricated wooden forms per specifications.
• Erect forms and anchor braces to maintain dimensions.
• Build scaffold supports and frame shelters per project specs.
• Learn layout and assist journeymen in planning and execution while following safety rules.
