SERVPRO of Allentown is seeking a Journeyman Carpenter for Residential Interior Reconstruction in the Allentown/Scranton coverage area. This full-time role blends hands-on carpentry with site leadership, coordinating subcontractors as needed.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in residential interior remodeling, a strong leadership background, and deep knowledge of codes, framing, cabinetry, and finish work. A stable, well-paying role with growth opportunities awaits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in residential interior remodeling/reconstruction as a Journeyman carpenter.
• Prior experience as a Site Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or independent General Contractor/Trade Business Owner is required.
• Expert understanding of residential building codes, structural framing, drylining, cabinetry, door/window installations, and interior finishing.
• Must possess a complete set of professional hand and power tools and a reliable work vehicle (truck or van).
• Valid PA Driver's License with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work on ladders.

Responsibilities

• Interior Framing & Structure: Execute structural repairs and framing modifications for damaged interiors.
• Finish Carpentry & Millwork: Install trim, baseboards, crown molding, doors, cabinetry, stairs, and built-ins with precision.
• Multi-Trade Execution & Oversight: Coordinate sub-trades and manage residential interior builds end-to-end.
• Site Leadership & Quality Control: Oversee daily progress, enforce safety, manage deliveries, maintain clean job sites.
• Client Communication: Be the on-site technical contact and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Schedule & Budget Alignment: Keep projects on track to meet completion dates and commissions.

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Total Estimated Compensation: $80,000 - $90, 000 / year (Base Salary + Project Performance Commissions)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled Journeyman Carpenter to join our Reconstruction Department. This position is ideal for an accomplished tradesperson with a strong background in Residential Interior Reconstruction who brings leadership experience - whether as a former job site foreman or an independent contractor looking to step away from administrative overhead and into a stable, high-paying, full-time environment.

You will drive high-quality interior reconstruction projects to completion across the Allentown and Scranton regions, balancing hands-on master carpentry work with site management and subcontractor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Interior Framing & Structure: Execute structural repairs, wall reconfigurations, subfloor replacement, and structural framing modifications for damaged or updated residential interiors.


• Finish Carpentry & Millwork: Install high-end trim, baseboards, crown molding, casing, interior doors, cabinetry, stairs, and custom built-ins with exceptional precision.


• Multi-Trade Execution & Oversight: Manage residential interior builds from rough-in to completion, coordinating specialty sub-trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting) and stepping in across trades when necessary.


• Site Leadership & Quality Control: Oversee daily job site progress, enforce strict safety standards, manage material deliveries, and maintain clean, professional client job sites.


• Client Communication: Act as the primary technical point-of-contact on site, walking homeowners through daily progress, addressing concerns, and delivering top-tier customer service.


• Schedule & Budget Alignment: Ensure projects move forward efficiently to meet target completion dates and commission benchmarks.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in residential interior remodeling/reconstruction as a Journeyman-level carpenter.


• Leadership Background: Prior experience as a Site Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or independent General Contractor/Trade Business Owner is required.


• Comprehensive Trade Knowledge: Expert understanding of residential building codes, structural framing, drylining, cabinetry, door/window installations, and interior finishing.


• Tools & Transport: Must possess a complete set of professional hand and power tools and a reliable work vehicle (truck or van capable of hauling tools/materials).


• Licensing & Documentation: Valid PA Driver's License with a clean driving record.


• Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly, work in varying job site conditions, operate heavy power tools, and work on ladders.

Compensation & Benefits

• Total Target Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually, structured as a stable base salary coupled with regular project-based revenue commissions.
