Job summary

City of Phoenix is seeking a skilled Plumber - Building Maintenance Worker with journey level experience to maintain and repair plumbing systems, remodel offices and other facilities. The role spans multiple trades including plumbing, rough carpentry, drywall, and painting, with opportunities to lead on projects.

Required are a valid backflow certification and a proven driving record; a City vehicle may be used for business.

Qualifications

• Three years of skilled level experience in building maintenance and repair with proficiency in at least two building trades.
• Backflow Certification required at time of application.
• Criminal background check and driving record screening are required.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate work methods, tools, and materials for assignments.
• May lead a crew of Building Maintenance Workers on projects.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and alteration of plumbing systems and related trades.
