Job summary

Astrion at Eglin AFB, FL seeks a Journeyman Acquisition Information Protection Manager (AIPM) to oversee all aspects of acquisition program security throughout the program life cycle. The role ensures compliance with government directives related to SAPs, SCI, and collateral security.

The ideal candidate will have experience implementing security policies from EO and DoD manuals, developing secure operating environments for government and contractor personnel, and maintaining RMF documentation

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelors with years of related security experience and SFPC/ SP ED certification as stated.
• Experience implementing government security directives for SAP/SCI and collateral security.
• Ability to develop and maintain security documentation and RMF artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Execute acquisition program security throughout the program life cycle.
• Develop security practices for acquisition, physical, personnel, industrial, and documentation security.
• Prepare security sections of program documents and review contractor deliverables.
• Develop system security documents including PPPs, SARs, OPSEC, CONOPS, RMF artifacts.
• Maintain databases for classified material, conduct audits, and manage visitor/clearance records.
• Inspect, inventory, store, and distribute classified information; support SCIF/SAPF procedures.
• Review personnel qualifications for SAP eligibility and deliver security training.

ACQUISITION INFORMATION PROTECTION MANAGER, JM

CERTIFICATION: Must obtain Level 1 Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within 14 months of hire; must be maintained throughout employment.

Astrion has an exciting opportunity at Eglin AFB, FL for a knowledgeable and experienced Journeyman Acquisition Information Protection Manager (AIPM) to support all aspects of acquisition program security throughout the program life cycle.

This role ensures compliance with Government directives relating to Special Access Programs (SAPs), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and collateral security requirements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience implementing security policies derived from Executive Orders and DoD Manuals, and be capable of developing and maintaining a secure operational environment for government and contractor personnel.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Masters degree and 4 years of relevant experience OR Master's and 3 years of relevant experience and Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Program Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) OR
• Bachelors degree and 6 years of relevant experience OR Bachelors and 5 years of relevant experience + SPeD SFPC OR

RESPONSIBILITIES

Acquisition Program Security Support

• Execute all aspects of acquisition program security throughout the program life cycle.
• Develop sound security practices and policies for acquisition, physical, personnel, industrial, and documentation security.
• Prepare acquisition security sections of program documentation and review contractor deliverables for compliance.

Security Documentation & Systems Support

• Develop system security documents including: Program Protection Plans, Security Risk Analyses, OPSEC Plans, Security CONOPS, vulnerability/countermeasure analyses, and RMF-related documentation.

Program Security Management

• Maintain and update databases tracking receipt, storage, inventory, and disposition of classified material.
• Participate in audits of government holdings to ensure accountability and compliance.
• Maintain visitor and clearance/access databases.

Classified Information Management

• Conduct inspections, inventories, logging, storage, and distribution of classified information.
• Provide security inspection and protection of classified storage areas and develop related procedures and policies.
• Support opening/closing procedures for SCIFs, SAPFs, and other secure areas.

Personnel Security & Training

• Review and verify personnel qualifications for special access program eligibility.
• Develop and deliver security awareness and training programs.

Additional Duties

• Support source selections with required security oversight.
• Authorized to serve as CSSR, SAP PerSec Official, OPSEC Officer, or similar roles as defined in applicable security guidance.
• Only AIPMs may record lock combinations; others are prohibited from doing so

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with Acquisition program security (SAP/SCI/collateral) across program lifecycle
• Providing security documentation support (program documentation and contractor deliverable review)
• Familiarity with system security documents (PPP, OPSEC plans, security CONOPS, RMF-related documentation)
• Familiarity with classified holdings/visitor-access database maintenance and reporting
• Experience with classified material inspection, inventory, logging, storage, transmittal, and distribution
• Experience with security inspections, protection procedures, and awareness training support
• Experience implementing and applying policies derived from:
