Job summary

Pacific Coast Producers is seeking a journey-level Maintenance Electrician for the second shift at our Distribution Center in Lodi, CA. This full-time, on-site role supports a large facility with advanced equipment, ensuring label lines and casers run smoothly and safely.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in industrial electrical work, can read blueprints, and are forklift-certified. PCP offers medical/dental/vision coverage, a defined-benefit pension, and paid time off.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant industrial electrical experience.
  • Must possess and use personal hand tools.
  • Basic fabrication, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding and plumbing knowledge.
  • Knowledge of vacuum systems, motion control, and HVAC systems; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Qualify as journey-level Electrician.
  • Coordinate with Head/Lead Electricians to align maintenance with production goals.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Diagnose electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  • May lead, mentor, or supervise mechanics; assign tasks and monitor quality.
  • Check materials and requisition parts.
  • Read and follow blueprints; lay out and assemble parts.
  • Weld (heliarc and stainless) and operate machinery as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $41.00 To $41.00 Hourly

Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is looking for an experienced and highly skilledMaintenance Electrician to join our team at our Distribution Center in Lodi, CA. The Distribution Center is a 1.5m sq. ft. packaging, labeling and distribution facility with approximately 400 employees. The DC operation supports both retail and foodservice customers and labels, cases, and ships nationwide approximately fifty (50) million cases every year. With its advanced technology, commitment to quality control, and dedication to sustainability, our Distribution Center is a model for excellence in distribution and logistics.

Pay Rate:$41.00 per hour. This is a full-time, second shift, on-site role (40 hours per week), with occasional weekend and overtime hours required as needed. This position is part of a seniority based Collective Bargaining Unit (CBA) and must be available for third shift.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Qualify as journey level Electrician.
  • Communicate effectively and work closely with Head and/or Lead Electricians and other maintenance professionals to align maintenance and repair efforts with production goals or facility-specific needs. Organize and direct crews on label lines. Keep all equipment running, such as label machines, automatic casers. Make or direct necessary repairs and adjustments, cleaning and oiling.
  • Perform and oversee routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Diagnose electrical issues, identify root causes of failures, and implement effective solutions to restore functionality quickly and efficiently.
  • Under the direction of a Head or Lead Electrician, may lead, mentor, train, and supervise Mechanics within a department or maintenance function, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring quality of work.
  • Check materials and parts and make requisitions.
  • Lay out and work from blueprints, diagrams, sketches, drawings, etc.
  • Cut and form parts and assemble parts to construct machinery and equipment.
  • Locate, line up and anchor machinery.
  • Test and time machinery.
  • Weld, including heliarc and stainless steel.
  • May occasionally operate machines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Available to work second shift (3:30pm to midnight) and weekends as needed
  • Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
  • Significant (5+ years) relevant industrial experience.
  • Committed to safety and food safety, including use of appropriate PPE.
  • Must possess and use personal hand tools.
  • Basic fabrication capabilities, and fundamental hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and plumbing knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of vacuum systems, motion control systems, and HVAC systems. Must possess at least basic computer knowledge.
  • Certified ability to operate/drive a forklift (a.k.a. industrial lift truck).
  • Ability to create and review machine drawings and schematics.
