Job summary

Swanson Group in Roseburg, OR seeks a Journey Electrician to support maintenance and minimize downtime through predictive and preventive work on all equipment. You will collaborate with Maintenance, Production, and Management to resolve issues and improve plant reliability.

Level 1–3 functions require wiring, MCCs, PLCs, HMI systems, and PLC network understanding. This position demands adherence to lockout/tagout procedures and strict safety standards in a 10-hour shift environment.

Qualifications

• Experience reading electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot 120–480 VAC control power.
• Familiar with MCCs, disconnects and conveyors.
• Knowledge of code-based installations and wiring.
• Experience with PLCs and HMI systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems across the mill.
• Read prints and install conduit per code.
• Support machine center control and PLC-related tasks.
• Coordinate with maintenance, production, and management teams.
