Gannon University is seeking a Journalism Program Classroom Student Worker in Erie, PA to support the journalism faculty in the classroom. The role includes assisting with teaching tasks, grading assignments, and helping set up technology before class.
You will read slides to the class, participate in discussions, and perform other program duties as needed. Strong oral and written communication and teamwork are essential; prior classroom experience is a plus.

Teamwork – The journalism classroom student worker will work closely with the journalism professor to assist in teaching classes and grading assignments.
Communication – The journalism classroom student worker will need to read slides and speak in front of the classroom, demonstrating strong oral communication skills. Strong written communication skills will also be needed for grading assignments.
The journalism classroom student worker will assist the director of the Journalism Program in the classroom. This includes the following tasks:
The journalism teaching assistant will work with the director of the Journalism Program and report to the co-directors of the School of Communication and the Arts.
The journalism classroom student worker must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Previous experience in the classroom is beneficial.
Must be able to work in an environment with a guide dog.
Demands consistent with typical office environment.
